Anshum M Photography

AM Photography is the brainchild of 32 year old photographer Anshum Mandore and the intimate affair that he has had with the camera since over a decade. What started merely as an interest in his childhood years, transformed into a hobby in early 2000 when the advent of digital technology made photography more affordable to practice as a hobby. And there’s been no turning back ever since! From interest to hobby, hobby to passion and passion to profession, the journey has been interesting as it has been challenging. 

With a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Anshum has served in Marketing oriented roles with various multinationals in India & Overseas for over 7 years, all along harboring a flaming passion for Photography. He took this passion to the next level a few years back when he switched to using a Digital SLR camera and started moonlighting and freelancing as a photographer. But the realization came quickly that photography now held more meaning in his life than what could be met by dedicating just part of his time to the art. And so he took the plunge into pursuing a full time career as a photographer and photography trainer.

As a photographer, he has undertaken assignments in everything ranging from industrial and product photography to portraiture, fashion & portfolios; constantly delivering on a promise of excellence. However realizing that to master an art one must specialize,  he has chosen to focus on his most beloved subjects.. people! People are amongst the most fascinating subjects for photography owing to the myriad of moods, emotions, expressions &  and looks they are capable of. Anshum follows a contemporary approach to photographing  people in a candid and artistic manner. Be it the entire range of emotions and expressions, vibrancy and colour of an Indian Wedding;  the clearly visible sparks and chemistry between a couple in love; or the pride and joy on the faces of parents holding their newborn. Or be it a situation that demands posed photography in a controlled environment such as a fashion shoot in a studio, Anshum M Photography delivers quality and class on every type of assignment involving the human factor. The team at Anshum M Photography comprises of a regular set of collaborators and associates, each of who is skilled, specialised and has his own individual style. Together they are capable of undertaking a variety of assignments of varying scale.

Besides a flair for photography, Anshum also has a penchant for writing and public speaking. He has been frequently commissioned to write for popular online magazines and resources on both photography related and other unrelated subjects. With years of experience in training, the result of his sales & marketing background, he has an uncanny ability to simplify the subject matter and speak to trainees at their individual levels of understanding. But he also believes that the learning never stops and so also himself constantly hungers to learn more and take his knowledge of the art, the science, the profession.. to the next level!
